8:43 PRAYER PARTY

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
John 1:5

Who We Are

8:43 Prayer Party is a positive, powerful, prayer group in the community. It’s a coming together of parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, principals, staff and administrators for one purpose: to lift up our schools in prayer to God. The 8:43 Prayer Party began in September 2021, and in just a few months, it has grown into something truly amazing. Twice a week on Mondays and Fridays for seven minutes, a prayer community, over 100-people strong and growing, comes together to pray in unity for a purpose…

Our schools, teachers, staff, students and parents need our prayers more than ever before. Despite the challenges of last year, principals, administrators, teachers and staff are facing even bigger difficulties this year! Our kids are feeling the pressure. And there is a lot of darkness, but there is something we can do about this as a community of faith — God can move mountains! So, let’s do something positive, be the light and come together as a community in prayer.

When We Meet

Mondays and Fridays, 8:43-8:50am

Pray from wherever you are

How It Works

—We begin praying at 8:43am and end at 8:50am, when the middle schools and high schools are beginning their day.

—We pray on Mondays and Fridays as a community — united as one — to lift up our schools, staff and students.

—Pray wherever you are — driving home from dropoff, at work, at home, anywhere!

We use an app called GroupMe to send out the weekly devotional. Contact the leader to have the link sent directly to you. Please reach out for more information.

When we pray as a community for one purpose at the same time, we feel the strength in unity and we know that God hears our prayers.
