Our Story

In 1989, Lake Travis United Methodist Church was a small, startup church with a big dream of becoming a church on the hill that would welcome people, offering healing and hope to the families of the Lake Travis area and beyond. Our first 35 years have been an amazing journey with countless people finding greater hope, purpose and meaning in their lives.

Now, as our area changes, so does our community. We are developing many new opportunities to connect with our changing and growing area. Join us as we dream together and take part in what God has in store for our next chapter.

The life of our church is guided by three statements…

• Our Purpose is to build a Jesus-centered community where all people are welcome and are moving from wondering about spirituality to becoming fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
• Our Vision is to partner with God in bringing heaven to earth in our homes, our neighborhoods, our city, and our world.
• Our Journey is to know, love and serve God.

A prayer service in the Taizé style of worship, including Holy Communion, scripture readings, prayers, simple songs and music led by acoustic instruments.
