5th Sunday Worship & Lunch
5TH SUNDAYS are special day of worship, fellowship and fun here at LTUMC!
And with Labor Day just a week later we’re aiming for a Labor Day “picnic” INSIDE our cool Activities Center! We’ll provide the main course, of some BBQ variety, so we just need picnic-inspired salads, sides and desserts to complete our meal or help with setup/cleanup.

Taizé Worship

Held on second Sundays, this quiet service with scripture readings, prayer, communion, candle lighting and acoustic music is a meditative form of worship, calling us to dwell deeply on Christ’s presence around and within us. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

LT Fresh Foodshare
5-7pm • Activities Ctr
The mission: distribute boxes of free, fresh produce from Common Market Produce to locals in need. That's where YOU come in! Every other Wednesday one person moves a door column before the delivery (around 9am) and replaces it after the delivery, then later from 5-7pm, 3-4 volunteers greet locals in need as they pickup a 15lb box of produce. Focused on employability and life skills, our ESL classes nurture listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Classes meet for 11 weeks — Beginners start Thu, Sep 3; Int/Adv starts Wed, Sep 2.
VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED…
—Greeters offer a warm welcome and support to create a positive and strong sense of community. They facilitate registration/attendance, as well as organize and prepare materials. (Weekly, 6:30-7:30pm)
—Tutors are an extension of the teacher, serving as mentors and motivators. They work side by side with students to support comprehension, provide individualized practice, and monitor student progress. Knowledge of Spanish not necessary! (Weekly, 6:30-8:30pm)

Education Connection
30 min. a week • Lake Travis Elementary
LTUMC sponsors the Education Connection reading program at Lake Travis Elementary. As a Literacy Partner, you’ll help a child learn and grow in reading in just 30 minutes a week via two 15-minute sessions of 1-on-1 reading. Literacy Partners help children learn to read, so they can read to learn.
