“For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another…We know love by this: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us – and we ought to lay down our lives for one another…Dear children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
1 John 3:11, 16, 18
The church is a family, and as with any family there are times when members have physical, mental and emotional troubles. We all find comfort in knowing that there is someone who cares at those times, even if it’s just to give a word of encouragement or a willing ear to listen.
The Congregational Care Ministry group at Lake Travis United Methodist Church works with the pastoral staff to provide congregants and others in the community with support.
- Hospital, nursing home and residential visits
- Mobile communion elements for the homebound
- Phone calls and cards
- Individual one-on-one care and prayer for those in need
Requests for assistance should be emailed to Evon Skilton or by calling the church office 512-266-9877
