COMMUNITY

Life is Better Together

Life is better together because you were created for community! Become a part of ours to experience authentic gospel relationships, encouragement and Christian growth. And you’re sure to find fun too! You belong at LTUMC no matter where you are in your spiritual journey... let’s explore our purpose together!

SERVICE

Love Your Neighbor

We’re a community that fully embraces the commandments to love God and ”love your neighbor as yourself.” We’d love to have you join us in working to fulfill the greatest commandments, by offering hope, kindness and a helping hand for disadvantaged children and families in the LTUMC community.

WORSHIP

Logan McDaniel, Worship Leader

Traditional • Modern • Taizé

With three distinct styles of worship — traditional, modern and Taizé — you’re sure to find a service where you’ll feel comfortable, welcome and encouraged. Our services include inspiring music, a Bible-based message and Holy Communion, which is open to all, including children.

It's not only a story of God’s cosmic triumph over sin and death, but also a story of love, grace, and redemption unlike any other. It’s a story just as powerful today as it was 2,000 years ago — one that offers us hope in the face of struggle, forgiveness in the face of conflict, and a reminder that each day we can be resurrected to a new life in Jesus’ name. So come, be surrounded by friends, give praise to a loving God, and encounter the Way, the Truth, and the Life that is Christ our Lord.

This Month @ LTUMC

This month you're invited to help supply writing tools and dual-language books for Communities of Hope/Comunidades de Esperanza weekly classes!

Drop supplies (pre-sharpened pencils; pens; 8.5x11 spiral notebooks) and/or books from their wish list in Ministry Corner baskets (Worship Center foyer) …OR… order from their wish list HERE.

Communities of Hope — formerly English Language Family Night — started in 2007, and offers adults educational opportunities for growth in Conversational English. During the pandemic, LTUMC and The Presbyterian Church of Lake Travis joined efforts and resources to assure a continuation of classes. The ministry was renamed Comunidades de Esperanza/Communities of Hope to represent our joint effort that continues today and looks toward the future. The mission remains unchanged — to offer God’s hospitality, build relationships through community, and guide a growing understanding and use of English through listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Currently, there are three weekly classes — beginner, intermediate and advanced — with an enrollment of 30. Each class is led by an instructor and supported by volunteer tutors, offering individualized support and guidance.
